Flotation process
Flotation process is normally used to separate non-ferrous metal minerals such as copper, zinc, lead, nickel and gold. It can also be used for roughing separation and fine separation of ferrous and non-metal mineral. Flotation is suitable for separation of fine-grained and micro fine-grained minerals.
Flotation process main equipment includes crusher, ball mill, flotation machine, thickening, filter.
The main process includes ore crushing–screening–grinding–separating (flotationprocess)–thickening–filtering.

In flotation process, flotation machine (also called flotation cell) is the crucial equipment, it’s the most common machine used in ore dressing plant for ferrous metals, nonferrous metal and non-metallic minerals separation. There are two types generally, mechanical stirring flotation machine and stirring & air induction flotation machine according to the way how the air can enter and mix with ore slurry.
